I did not produce this video but I'd sure like to shake the hand of the guy/gal who did.  It focuses on a person who produced a degree of chaos here a while back and was subsequently banned.  I see that he's recently reduced the James Family Genealogy Forum on genealogy.com to an advertisement for his misidentified collection just as he tried to do on here.  Having studied many other areas of history, I remain amazed at the number of absolute nutbags, besides the normal honest folks, that Jesse James seems to attract.  Anyway, it's good to see this particular scammer exposed on YouTube.

And yes, I am on your BBA board.
Guess who I am.
Why you here?

Carol, some time back on the Factasy forum I used a sign on name other than my given name. Someone decided it would be of great interest to the readers to "out" me by proclaiming my given name. The moderator agreed with me that was stalking and providing private, personal information without my consent, and removed the message and the poster.

The Internet brings things out of the woodwork that should stay there.

I would be flattered to know someone thought I was as great a researcher as Linda Snyder! But, those who think you two are the same person are also the ones who think photos of Jesse James match photos of totally unrelated men.

Fran

Quite honored to be her. She is a great researcher. She knows how to get to the bottom of a fake family tree in a heart beat. I'm just convinced that the fantasy bunch are ate up with it. They are good for giggles though.

You aren't honored to be me too? Well, I don't blame you on that count.

I love being Sally. And I like fresh salt air down on the coast.

You are one of my best alias's.

I had heard Linda looks alot like me.

Carol, you said: "Betty Duke continues to use my work from the Gen forum which is suppose to be agaist TOS policy"

According to that forum, a tree doesn't fall unless someone is there to hear it.

Fran

Betty Duke continues to use my work because she doesn't have it in writting from anyone who will back up her story. Even David Hedspeth vanished. Laura Way was helping her and perhaps still is under the alias Dallas. It was an interesting study of the JLC Story but somewhere the puzzle peices are a no match. No corner peices if you know what I mean. I have always told her that she should have used the phrase "The possibilty could exist." "He may have been." Not "He is he told me so."

As she continues to pump out the JLC story with making photos fit the damage piles up higher and higher. Family lore and true historical research don't add up to the same cup of tea. There are many post made by me that she continues to use and when I find each and everyone of them they are going to be reported. You know Gregg Ellison is going along with her because it is a game to him. He still hasn't worked her famous story of JLC into his precious gallery and he never will. Because he knowns her story is a bunch of bologna sauce. I would say her name is pretty much mud in the Jesse James research circle. No one wants to back a phoney story  and anyone would be a fool to support her and her story after all her wheeling and dealings with other  crooks and liars. You wanna fly with the best, learn to be the best.

Carol, you said: "It was an interesting study of the JLC Story but somewhere the puzzle peices are a no match".

My interest in the JLC story was due to my interest in the JJ story. I asked her questions about JLC, and was told she didn't have time to answer, but if I were to read Genforum archives, I could find my answers.

I did, and I did.

Not one, not a single one of the reasons she gives, that prove to her, that her gr-grandfather was Jesse James can be verified. Just the opposite, each and every single reason he could NOT be JJ can and has been verified.

As for the forum where she copies and pastes your copyrighted messages, emails, research etc, the moderator turns a blind eye instead of enforcing the TOS as he agreed to do when he was given a forum. He is aiding and abetting.

Fran

No one familiar with historical research gives Betty Duke's story any credibility whatsoever.  By latching onto vague references that she twists to support her beliefs, while disregarding solid documation that doesn't, her appeal is limited to the naive, uninformed and those to whom no conspiracy theory is too outlandish to believe.
