Harvey Logan was involved in the Belle Fourche, S. Dakota bank robbery. I have a bunch of info about Harvey and family .Harvey is my cousin.

Harvey's folks William H. Neville Logan and wife Eliza Jane (Johnson) Logan came from Kentucky. The family story goes William got Eliza pregnant before they were married . Her father embarised and bought them a place in Tama County Iowa. The baby James would be the only child born in Ky. All the rest Tama County Iowa. They had several children some died as infants . The most known were Harvey, Johnny , Lonnie, James also a sister Arda. When mother Eliza died the family got a little split up. Harvey, Johnny Lonie, Arda and I think James went to live with their aunt Elizabeth (Logan) Lee. She was married to Hiram Lee a relative to Robert E Lee. The boys got restless and were a hand full for their aunt. They wanted to be cowboys in the worst way along with cousin Bob Lee. The story goes they set out to join the trail drives coming up from Texas. The boys were good hands and broke horses for the drives.

I did not name all the kids. James was the oldest. He was the only one born in Ky. Bob Lee got out of prison a little earlier for good behavior. I have never believed that Harvey died at Parachute. I don't think he was even involved in the robbery. Pat are you interested in western research?

I have always believed Harvey Logan died as he had lived, violently, somewhere outside Parachute Colorado in June of 1904. Very nice article. Many years ago I spoke with you over the telephone. If my memory serves me it was about some FOI documents I had been sent concerning Logan. Again, IIRC they were EFF BEE EYE memorandum about Logan possibly in S.A. Really it was useless redacted drivel.
But I still buy Logan inflicting the wound on Scarborough. So, what do I know? :)
Nice to see you are still a serious researcher; always took you as a no nonsense type fellow.
