Here is an example of how the chokers can be used for a hat band.

This is on my old Stetson. I just secured it with a square knot.

I am working on another means of securing the band, but ain't got it figured out yet.

s h...you dont want to 'secure' it, as it is still a choker, just put to multiple use...a square knot is just fine...dont break the choker ties when you want it untied...you must be reading my mind because i just put my grandson's bone-pipe and shell choker on his black cowboy hat a few minutes ago!!!

beautiful things...best of luck selling!!!

Here are more I made with the idea of using them as hatbands as well as chokers.

have punched a series of holes in the ends of the elk skin ties and provide a piece of waxed sinew that can be used to tie the band to fit the hat.

A couple with a patriotic flair:

This is 3 strands, with red horn pipe, white pipe bone, and blue dyed pipe bone, with elk skin ties and spacers.

Here is one with the same, but also a "flag" centered using crow beads.

Black horn pipe with turquiose colored glass crow beads

This one is antiqued white pipe bone and black horn pipe.

Or I can add a carved bone buffalo skull for a center piece

This one is a more simple, 2 strand with dyed blue pipe bone and colored glass crow beads

I can add abalone shell center pieces, as I have on some of my other chokers, on any of these also. Or I can add conchos, stars, marshal badges, etc.
