I recently picked up a mounted French antique 1800's cast iron horse head trade sign. It weighs about 100lbs and was used by French restaurants to advertise their horse meat meals. Priced at $685.00 plus shipping.

The French still like horsemeat.  For years Frenchmen would show up at BLM auctions & buy all the horses they could.  The animals were taken to France, slaughtered, and served in special 'horsemeat' restaurants.  BLM no longer permits this, but it went on for a long time.  The only thing PETA has ever done right is protesting French buying of American mustangs for table meat.
