Hi, gang.

My friends, "German Pete" and "Minnesota Maureen" are gearing up for this year's main event out at their movie ranch. He has a private mailing list and I asked him if I could post the latest news. He consented and here it be... (I placed key points in bold text). I sure hope to get to meet some of you there! Peter and Maureen ALWAYS show everyone a great time.

Howdy all,
we just got back from Paramount Ranch,where we did a movieshoot for Disney.We all had great fun.Thanks to all who participated, but now its back to the preparations for next weeks memorial encampment.To start with the more important things, here is the

food plan:
Thursday
* dinner---pasta
Friday
* breakfast
* lunch---sloppy joes
* dinner---carne asada
Saturday
* breakfast
* lunch---pulled pork, baked beans, coleslaw, potato salad
* dinner---ham ,sides
Sunday---leftovers
[throughout the weekend there are snacks, chips, dips, chili goulash and cobblers]

THE SALOONS (The Whitehorse and the Tivoli Club)
* Coors light on tap
* Whiskey
* Whiskeela [An accidental mixture that caught on at Whitehorse.}

TIMETABLE:

Friday Nov 13--"Keeping the old west alive"
* Grand opening of First National Bank of Whitehorse.
Saturday Nov 14:
* 11:30 a.m.: Service
* 12:30 p.m.: Lunch
* 2:30 p.m. Mexican Rodeo Riders give a riding and roping demonstration on main street
* Afterwards: Quick draw contest
* Evening hours: music and dance in the saloons
Sunday Nov 15:--breakfast

ALL WEEKEND
* Music by "Professor" Dave Bourne (from HBO's Deadwood)
* Music by Jeannie and her dulcimer.
* And all our other musician friends
* we will have a street naming contest(we have 5 streets now!)
* quick draw contest on Saturday afternoon
* shootouts - as needed (mind you these "shootouts" are not shows per say, but spontaneous, and often deadly displays of force between rival gangs of rogues, ruffians, and hooligans.
* possibly a necktie party if somebody misbehaves (Purgy,take note)
* we might film the explosion scene of our movie on fri afternoon

Nobody HAS to bring anything, but any help is greatly appreciated (we have now over 110 RSVPs). Here is a list of things we always need:

* Bottled water
* Kerosene/Lamp-oil
* Firewood
* Styrofoam plates and small bowls
* Plasticware
* Cooking oil
* Peanuts
* Chips
* Toiletpaper
* Papertowels
* Soda pop
*...and of course all sorts of liquor

please bring a period cup for your drink,we don't want plastic in town.
check in all guns with Smokey Jack, Cap'n ball, or Pete.

and most of all: HAVE FUN

Amazingly good news came overnight...my hiking friends changed the Zion weekend...so unless they change again, I will be attending this event! Look forward to seeing everyone!

Yeah...it sounds great...I'm even missing one weekend of San Bernardino's Harvest Fair because it also conflicts :( For sure another time!

Unfortunately this is the same weekend of my annual Zion Nat Park trip....I am really disappointed that I will miss out because it sounds like a lot of fun and it's local, too!...Have fun Jeff, will miss ya there!
