Along with the Sparkle and Twang exhibition, The Autry National Center and the Western Music Association, California Chapter Present a series of Western Music Workshops.

Saturday, May 2, 2009: "Creative Songwriting with Mike Fleming" / Griffith Park 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. / $25Join us for an in depth look at the philosophy and approach to creative songwriting as seen through the eyes of award winning songwriter, Mike Fleming.
Saturday, June 20, 2009: Guitar Workshop with Raul Reynoso / Griffith Park 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. / $25

Saturday, July 25, 2009: Walt Richards Banjo and Mandolin Workshops (Two Sessions) / Griffith Park 9 a.m to 4 p.m / $25 for one session, $40 for both
Emmy-winning arranger and receiver of multiple Top Five Instrumentalist of The Year nominations by the Western Music Association, Walt Richards is a sought-after instructor with students coming to his San Diego studio from all over the Southwest and beyond. Saturday, August 15, 2009: Gary Allegretto: Cowboy Campfire Harmonica Workshop / Griffith Park 2 - 4 p.m / $25 for adults, $10 for children under 12.
