Event Description

To mark National Cowboy Day in San Angelo, Fort Concho will host a special dinner and entertainment program by award-winning chuck wagon camp cook, Dorothy Douthit and Fiddle Fire, on Saturday evening, July 25, in Barracks 6 on Flipper Street. Cost for the dinner and western entertainment is $25.00 with proceeds to benefit improvements to the Field Kitchen for "Christmas at Old Fort Concho". Reservations are recommended and checks should be made to the Fort Concho Foundation. Dinner will be served at 6:30 pm in the air conditioned Barracks 6 at the fort.

At 8:00 pm, a free program of skits by The Concho Cowboy Company plus an 1800s baseball game will take place with cold drinks and watermelon available at no charge to all guests. The program will take place inside the Barracks 6 Courtyard on Flipper Street and the nearby Parade Ground.
