Appreciate that Odessa....will jot all that information down here...found out I still fit into at least one pair of my pants this morning...that should hold me for the weekend...I hope...gotta clear out the back end of the Exploder and pack and hit the road soon...have to swing out through Yucca Valey before heading over to Barstow this pm..rather a long day on the old asphalt trail, but, at least I'll get a Friday in....

Just checked on the KOA - that's next door to Calico (my favorite commercial ghost town in the area) - around the same price as the Calico Camps, too...may be worth it to see if there's an opening there when I get in for the ease of things tonight...trying to save money and do this on a shoestring, though...

You're welcome KD...Calico is one of my favs, too...unfortunate it is more commercialized...but it is what it is!! Yucca Valley is a long way from Garden Grove!!...but a nice trip on 247 through the desert/Old Woman Springs to Barstow! I hear you about shoestring budget...I'm always on one when I go to a horse show with my horses! I've slept in the back of my Expedition many times back before I sold it.
